Hitchhike is of course a Marvin Gaye song covered by the Stones.
The real VU rip off is of the Everly Brothers "Love Hurts."

ISO WL/WH Skull graphic and vinyl rip of third album
Hi,
anyone here have a good quality file of the WL/WH skull tattoo not black on black but black and white?
Also, a lossless vinyl rip of the third album would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Sal

Re: New Sundazed VU vinyl box set!
I had the honor on sitting in on transferring the original master tapes (and trying to decipher some cryptic tape box notes) with Bill Levenson at Sterling Sound in NYC, and have been working with Sundazed on the package. This will be another beautiful addition to any VU fan's collection.

If the record company refuses to meet the demands of its true fans by releasing the music in its best form, screw ...

Re: Lou, Nico and who?
Looks like Stephen Shore to me.
While this is certainly from the VU&Nico sessions, Lou and Nico must have been in the studio together for Chelsea Girl, no?

New Moe Tucker Best of set coming!!!
Look for those lovely folks at Sundazed to issue a 2cd, 3lp best of Moe in September. The set will include some hard to find tracks as well as one previously unissued beauty. Eyes wide open!

Re: Doubt with "November 1,1965 Filmmakers Cinematheque, NY
Here's a little more info for you: That flyer is an original Angus manuscript, a draft for an event handbill utilizing an earlier event handbill, the May 1965 Dreamweapon performance which is super-significant as it lists the Velvets as performers, thereby being their first show - until something ...
