As an aside, it's odd, isn't it, how John and Lou's early solo albums seem to kind of mirror each other:
1. Low-key, surprisingly conventional rock album - Lou Reed / Vintage Violence
2. Accomplished, beautifully produced, relatively poppy - Transformer / Paris 1919
3. Dark and evil - Berlin / Fear
4. Stodgy, decadent rock - Sally Can't Dance / Slow Dazzle
On the other hand, much like The Gift and Booker T, there are of course as many differences as there are similarities!
