The song Perfect is what is says, Perfect, it blows all the young pretenders out of the water, great stuff.
After playing it last night the Swiss radio called him the "Grand Signeur of Indie Rock" which is pretty accurate

Saw John at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London last night

Absolutely fantastic gig, JC was in great spirits and great form, he really rocked the place out

Very solid band too, and great mix of old and new material.

Excellent!

Wow... I wonder how long it's been since he played this one? It's always been one of my favourite Cale songs. A real underrated gem.

I've been listening to the Hamburg show, it's really cute how he can't hit the high notes of Gideon's Bible... (try a different key)

It was also amazing to hear Mary Lou performed (Merry Lou?)

I just saw him in Lisbon and it was fantastic! Great band and Cale was in a very good mood...that version of Gideon's Bible is one of the best things i've ever watched him perform. Amazing! Do you know who are the guys in the band? Great players and they were having a great time playing with John Cale. He did't play Venus in Furs though...
