I had the pleasure of communicating with Dinky Dawson himself - he did sound for the 1973 Tots tour, the 1973 Berlin tour and the 1978 tour. This is what he said about further soundboards to come from the Tots and 1978 tours:
"I'm not sure when any of the early 1973 Lou Reed shows will be posted. There are not many recordings of that time period and 1978 too. It is possible the tape may have deteriorated. You just never know till the restoration/mastering people do their thing".
I also asked him about a few specific Berlin 1973 shows, and this is what he said:
"The Lenox Lou Reed show was recorded as it was the first one after rehearsals. The interesting thing is a writer/fan/musician recorded in stereo at the back of the field and when we started playing with my board recording and his we started flipping out due to front and rear natural sound around. This one might end up as an audio DVD but not for a while, a lot of work to master this one. I think Lou might have the Crystal Palace show and who knows where that is now".
I bought a copy of his book from him (highly recommended and difficult to get hold of), which he signed.
