My favorite Lou official release is Take No Prisoners. My favorite Lou solo listening is live 1975, 1978-1979.
Doug Yule was at his best on lead guitar.
The audience boots with yelling fans/detractors and all.
I especially like the songs that the audience heckles the most including the long versions of
Candy Says from 1979. After that I like Magic and Loss and the tour accompanying that release.
Then I move ahead to 2004 to the present and those are also shows that I like, including
the ones with the Metal Machine Trio with Laurie and John Zorn. Oh yes to further alienate
I like the shows Lou did with Laurie summer of 2002 in southern Europe. Finally Fire Music
from the Raven is another bit of wankery from Lou that I enjoy. I only wish Lou would or had
performed Nowhere at All live, the best piece of punk rock, no flash, a little slash and
a lot of trash....
