That NME list cannot possibly be serious. It's obviously an all-time greatest list, yet includes the Strokes at #7, Oasis at #13, a Spiritualized album that's not even their classic one at #17, the worst Smiths album at #25, and ANDREW W.K. at #69...

But of course no room for, say, Black Sabbath, or the Grateful Dead... It's like VH1 with amnesia.

I bet our Ian is monitoring that website right now to see what the hit rate response is... Website monitoring and email marketing, get outta here!

As for the actual lists, they're quite predictable, aren't they? All-time best lists are so boring.

NME's list reminds me of Rolling Stone magazine's many lists. Neglecting some true masterworks for some trendy crap. How could anyone put someone like Andrew W.K. on any 'best list'? Andrew who?

...is the reason I don't read any music papers or magazines anymore. I sometimes pick up MOJO or UNCUT if there's a good cover story but that's all I can stomach anymore.

I'm getting around two or three hit's a week from this forum, I won't be retiring on affiliate income just yet.
