I read a piece last night about how Richard Prince (the artist) buys every new repress of the VU's albums. Having a look through his art collection I saw these two items:

I like the juxtaposition of one of his nurse painting images with the 2 VU items.

Not sure what the banana is. A Warhol print? An unpeelable version of the LP cover? The edges make it look like an LP...

Thanks for that! Impresive!! I would say it is one of the early US printed banana issues (the white is getting tanned) The Trip poster is terrific as well as the Brillo Box in front of a very classy small sofa. Great finding!

Beautiful still of Sterling Morrison,Lou Reed and Moe Tucker maybe resting after a gig.Besides I recall this picture comes from a set posted here long time ago,circa 1969.

These are new to me, they were taken by Jeff Albertson in May 69 in Cambridge, Mass. - looking at maps the likely location is somewhere around Christian A Herter Park. It has been suggested before one of their May 29-31 concerts at the Boston Tea Party.

There are some similar group shots – Sterling at front on some steps and the famous petrol pump images - they are wearing the same clothes/hairstyles so presume they were all produced on the same day.
