Wow,what a fine work,a true loving movie, gotta try gettin' the full thing. There's funny that the double speed of the film got the feeling of an "assembly line" mainly with Andy and assistants taking polaroids without stop at white factory 76,pure pop art.iaredatsun wrote:extract from To Barbara with Love by Jonas Mekas.

Is it just me or is this the best quality of this footage? I don't remember it being so clear. I already copied it to my laptp.taxine wrote:Wow,what a fine work,a true loving movie, gotta try gettin' the full thing. There's funny that the double speed of the film got the feeling of an "assembly line" mainly with Andy and assistants taking polaroids without stop at white factory 76,pure pop art.iaredatsun wrote:extract from To Barbara with Love by Jonas Mekas.

PS: Many thaks Jonas Mekas.
These images are indeed awesome, Taxine. That said -- and not to look a gift horse in the mouth -- the watermarks severely intrude on the enjoyability of looking at them.taxine wrote:Really,I'm going crazy with Mr Richie's work new update in his finest sets At Café Bizarre & Delmonico?s New York, stunnig pix of Jonas Mekas,Barbara Rubin,Edie Segwick and the Velvets.Awesome stuff btw !!
Well, judging by the Confederate flag on the stage, I'd say that the VU was an opening act (It's doubtful that flag would have been part of the decor in NYC). Or...it's always possible that the place was pretty empty and the bands had more room on the floor.Sheila Klein wrote:So the Bizarre had a stage after all! Why in the hell didn't the band play up there? --Phil
