The audio on the Raro DVD is compressed, it's Dolby 2.0 48kHz 192kbps

Well, the biggest difference I noticed was that the damn hiss on the Raro DVD clip was thankfully gone from the new LP rip. I think that's a big plus in it's favor.

I think that the warmth of the vinyl-crackle contrasts with the harsh sound of A Symphony of Sound. The harshness of the tape-hiss goes with the recording better.
