I have just done a quick side-by-side between my LP and the '96 CD with the VV mix, and also between my LP and the PSAS closet mix. The LP I have definitively has the VV mix on both sides! The more obvious cues include the VV take of "Some Kinda Love" and the shorter version of "Beginning...," but ...

I feel like I have the VV mix on an '85 release, but I'll need to check to be sure. I'll let you know when I get the chance!

I think historically that speed up at the end of Sister Ray presents a nice metaphoric coda for the Cale/Reed relationship within the Velvet Underground at the time.
