Weezer
Good Christ
Weezer? You gotta be kidding? Why not Green Day. Shit.
Anyways, my vote woulda been for The Strokes.
All you woulda had to do is add SUBSTANCE.

sad.
in Weezer's defense, they were pretty good a decade ago but have since gone the way of Green Day. over the summer, I'd hear that "we are all on drugs" song a lot on the radio when I was at work and would think to myself how we've taken a step down from "Heroin" or "White Light/White Heat." Oh, the irony.
and that drummer guy looks a lot of my grandmother. a lot.

Pitchfork has an article on this, too. Here's an excerpt that really bugged me:
"Seems like the Weezer boys are feeling pretty good about their try at "Heroin". "[Moe] Tucker did have an amazing feel," Bell said, "but she was no Pat, and Pat pulled out an ?Only In Dreams' type crescendo that I think makes that aspect of the song better."
Wait a second. Did he just say that the guy who played on "Beverly Hills" does a better "Heroin" than Moe Tucker? Good lord, is this man confused."
Confused is putting it politely.
