"proper" order ?

Post by Guest »

There's another bootleg coming from the people behind " Nothing Song" : it's called "Dolph Acetate edited demo Copy'
It seems less scratchy and has been edited, with fade out and fade in in each song, but on that one, the order is the same as the one on Olivier's site :

1. European Son
2. Black Angel Of Death
3. All Tomorrow's Parties
4. I'll Be Your Mirror
5. Heroin
6. Femme Fatale
7. Venus In Furs
8. Waiting For The Man
9. Run Run Run

It's supposed to be 100 copies only (?) and it came out as a bonus CD with "The Warhol Tapes"...
Prehaps the bootleggers realised they had messed up the whole thing and went for another try, this time with the proper order and a cleaned copy ?

I wonder what the sound will be. If they used as much filtering as your first sentence suggests, it is gonna sound pretty muddy.

Hopefully a torrent will pop up from one of those 100 copies...

This is claiming to be a copy of the CDR the owner of the cleaner conditioned acetate sent around. Everyone who's heard it says it sounds great. However, he edited the tracks in some, not sure how or how much is missing. So this may not be all that interesting. Sure, they'll be from a better source, but they're incomplete songs.

Yes, but they could possibly be used to patch the acetate in the spots where there are skips.

So was "The Black Angel's Death Song" originally called "Black Angel Of Death"?

Are these demos or live cuts?

Joe, neither, they're from the first VU & Nico session in April 66 - Olivier's site has all the info in the "Studio & Home recordings" section.
