Today on the The People's Court, Roberta Bailey (who?) and Victor Bockris faced off!
Bockris was being sued by Bailey for failure to repay a loan dealing w/ co-write credits to a Patti Smith biog. Legs McNeil was a witness for the defendant. Bockris looked AWFUL - sort of like Dudley Moore on a bad day. He looked drunk, hunched over the podium, unkempt and shaking with greasy hair.
Long story short, Bockris lost to the tune of $5,140. At the end when the litigants are interviewed, Legs asked if Judge Milian was married!
For those who dont know, Bockris wrote Lou Reed's "unofficial" biog, "Transformer," as well as an Andy Warhol biog.

Yes, and also Up-Tight with Gerard Malanga. Quite an important source of info. re. the VU (although one must be careful when all information comes from quasi one source).Changeling wrote:He also helped write What's Welsh For Zen w/ John Cale
