New VU boot LP out..

Post by bleach »

It appears that there is a new VU bootleg LP out called 'Yesterdays Parties' released (probably) last month- 1000 copies all individually numbered.

Side 1 is 'Nothing Song' (24.11) from Valleydale and Side 2 'Jam' track (24.24) from Dom NYC April 1966 which is a bit more like it! I wish they'd stop bootlegging Valleydale gig everyone out there must have half a dozen versions of it. I hope they aren't telling porkies - the Dom track could be 'Melody Laughter' from Valleydale. I'm suspicious until I hear it!

Cover is a montage of Nico photo in the background and the smiling Velvets shade pic at the Castle. There appears to be some inner sleeve info/pic as well.

It is the Dom track alright. You have it down as 24min. Twisted stars version is 26min - I have'nt got round to playing/timing both versions to confirm.

Can you comment on quality? Is it mastered from Twsited Stars maybe (with the dialogue/interruption?) I'd like to have the Dom jam on vinyl, but don't want to bother if it's substandard. The insert is an article from the EVO yes/no?
