It is my sad duty to announce here the death this past week of Andy Warhol film historian Callie Angell, at age 62, apparently a suicide. I have seen no obituaries as of yet, but today's New York Times includes both family and professional death notices:

i've been away for a while and just discovered this news. it is an absolute shock. callie was a friend and the absolute authority on the warhol films and factory years. she will be greatly missed.

But there are no stars in New York sky, they're all on the ground.
