Nice and concise! Just one thing I thought about while reading it: Lou didn't have anything to do with the song selection when it came out. Lou had released his debut solo LP at around the same time that Max's came out, which led to a very odd battle - Lou fighting for more press than his now extinct band!

Loaded - Sept. 1970
Max's - May 30, 1972
Lou Reed - May 1972

I think max's is the greatest live album ever. first lp i bought, with my big brother , that record got me into cool music, and playing guitar. I love the new tracks, and luckily some kinda love is my faveourite velvets song, the new talking bits, its a parralel universes man.
