Squeeze on CD?

When did that happen? I liked Squeeze. I thought it was a pretty decent little album. I hadn't known someone put in on cd, though.

I'd guess that's a bootleg. Has to be. I doubt in a million years you'll ever see a legitimate rerelease of that album under that band name. At least not in Lou's lifetime.

Thanks for the link, I'm tempted. I've heard nothing but kind words for this poor album.

 lou dead? wouldn't it be nice: let's hope his heirs will want to make quick money! and release all the stuff the velvets have in store! (and the last records scare me of what might become of him!)

"Import" most of the time equals bootleg. I wonder if that's even a professionally pressed boot CD or a crappy CDR thingy (no "record label" is mentioned).

And as far as "BONUS TRACKS - VELVET UNDERGROUND LAST LIVE - BOSTON 6/27/1978" goes... May 27, 1973, more like.

I was able to find the Squeeze album using eMule. I found it to be a pretty decent album. If you like Loaded, this is definitely worth hearing. It might not be as strong as the "real" Velvet Underground albums but if compared to Lou's early solo albums I think it is superior.

Ended up selling for $7.49. Considering what cd boots go for these days, it's not a bad deal. Still, I prefer to trade the stuff if possible.

Did Lou publicly denounce that album?

Well it was never his to denounce, was it? Anyway it's pretty obvious he would've not been happy with that kind of a "Velvet Underground" record.

I just love that advert on Olivier's site that lists both The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed solo in the same city! (London, was it?) ;-)
