For those who are familiar with jimjims - my VU archive yahoo list - you may be aware that I have long planned preparing a 'VU anthology' DVD of all available footage/docus/re-unions etc.
The two clips I'm missing are of THAT Piero & the VU footage from late '65 - early '66. It was featured quite prominently in the BBC's 'Dancing In The Street' docu eons ago (1996?).I would have no problem with a version like this as lomg as its not the full show in MPEG form! Plus the WNET footage of Andy ('since I don't really believe in painting anymore' etc ) and various clips of the Vu rehearsing & playing while 'Venus' & 'Heroin' are booming away in the background.
I'm looking for good or HQ quality versions of these on MPG or AVI. The urgency I stress above is that I'd like to start next week on this as I'll have a bit of time on my hands. It will be a v.01 as I'm new to DVD burning and hopefully in the long run a better version will supplant it.
If you can help, please get in touch. i may reward you with a copy of the finished product...if it works
