That was great to see. Always enjoy seeing Lou give an interviewer absolutely nothing. So many nice little insights - the scribbled Femme Fatale lyrics, and John grinning across at Lou during Real Good Time Together - had assumed until that point that he was hating it. And that little bit of Sterling warming up gives a glimpse of what a fine player he still was - such a shame he was so under-utilised on that tour.

Thanks, great footage!
Just the given date, 1993.Jun.02 [in London], seems incorrect, as Jun.01-02 they were playing in Edinburgh, Scotland.
After that their next gig was Jun.05 in London.

PS: many great news videos recently uploaded on that "ITN Archive", incl.a 2003 interview with Lou Reed

Thank you. The general consensus is that Lou deliberately sabotaged this reunion, which I saw twice, and it was very sad. In fact, none of the solo members ever even remotely approached the power of VU. And the worst solo works are undeniably HIS, especially after 1974. CIB remained vaguely 'surprising' with its country 'feel', which was, after all, its trademark in the absence of any real artistic direction (hits ? No hits ?).
