Would really welcome finding more out about Tom Wilson, hope this project sees completion.

The Wilson documentary will be titled Tom Wilson: Lost in Transition and it’s an estate-authorized documentary from Pfonetic producing duo Greg Richling and Jonathan Sheldon (Immediate Family, Swing State), along with Peabody Award-winning film producer Bob L. Johnson (Rodney King, A Huey P. Newton Story), and Tom Wilson III.

That seems to be in error. The Variety article cited in this link describes the film as a "narrative" and "biopic," and states that "actors will be announced at a later date" -- thus, not a documentary. Marshall Crenshaw has been working for a while on a docu film on Wilson, but it's uncertain how this news will affect his efforts.
