WHAT BOOTLEG NEEDS AN UPGRADE?!

Post by MJG196 »

Well, not all of these are bootlegs, but tell me which needs a better LP-digital transfer than what is already in circulation. Take the poll!

Keep in mind, this is gonna be a straight Vinyl -> Digital -> .flac transfer and Im not going overboard on any equalization, declicks, etc.

I will use the results of this poll to determine which one I transfer. Like Wu-Tang said, "This is for the children!!"

What is "Stiff On His Legend"? and is Stockholm 1974 something that Lou did?

I'm not familiar with these? - I'd like to know before I vote. :)

Tough choice...must by "Etc" for me though!!

"Keep in mind, this is gonna be a straight Vinyl -> Digital -> .flac transfer and Im not going overboard on any equalization, declicks, etc."

That's the best way to handle it. As long as it's good quality transfer (I have no doubt that it will be) then people have the option of cleaning/ruining it as much as they want.

I'm voting for And So On, for purely selfish reasons, as I don't have it and would like to have the rough mix of One of These Days.

Who has Orange Disaster with take 2 of A Sheltered Life and Here She Comes Now ?

Wow...why is the voting on polls always so pathetic? People dont even want a VU bootleg?! Whatever!

First album that receives 10 votes gets transferred.

You think it's limited to the POLLS?

What's with this forum? Why do so many things go completely ignored? Trade requests (one of the reason I started a vine); artwork requests; quality comparisons...

I posted a rare mix (what I consider to be the definitive mix) of Foggy Notion in the Torrent thread and according to me rapidshare account over 50 people have downloaded it so far, yet not one person has commented on it or even asked me what the source is.

I suppose people just visit here (other forums too) for the things they are interested in. I suppose if people aren't interested in comparisons/polls/trades then they just don't bother.

I know that I'm new here and it's not really my place to comment on what people are/aren't expected to do. I do mod on a friends forum which has it's quiet times too and people just don't seem to be interested.

Although I've not been here long, I've enjoyed it and enjoyed talking to people with similar AND very different views. I do feel a little out of my depth here sometimes because I'm new to the whole bootleg era and some of the the concerts/boots/collections that are mentioned mean nothing to me until I spend some time looking into them>

Anyway...I went on a bit there  !! I don't know what this place is usually like with people taking part in things? I do think it's natural for forums to slow down at times though.

You can see an example of that in the "VU at the matrix finally shows up" thread.
