This is a fake right? An alternate 4:55 take of Heroin from the master reel that has Cale singing - surely that would have come to light by now (the existence of if not the music itself)?

Yes, pretty sure this is bollocks. They've probably just edited down one of the Cale versions from Disc 1 of PSAS and stuck that on.

The only version of Cale singing Heroin I'm aware of is live at Poor Richard's.

Seems very specific to be wrong or fictional:

No viola.

Surely even if the Cale vocal description was wrong, piano, no viola and 4.55 timing would make this track easy to identify if it was a known existing recording.

Is someone going to write to the seller(s) to ask more info? ANother thought. Who would pay $750 for this without hearing it. Unless the seller has samples?

Yes, that's the same as the Poor Richard's show I mentioned above. Reed was not playing with them at the time.
There's organ and no viola, so it could be a match, but it's a little hard to think anyone would mistake it for a studio recording.
Are there any other known recordings of Cale singing Heroin?

Second ebay seller sent me these. But they do not seem to show the same tape as the ebay sale. After I queried that fact, the seller seemed to ask me to stop asking questions.
