is this worth my valuable time and money?
theres a little bit of magic in everything, then some loss to even things out.

Well in that case, 'Squeeze' is the worst.

As some of the other sites say about other collections: It is for "completists only". Not too bad. Not real good. Very average. I think it got put out on "name" appeal only.

As a Velvets album, it's no 'Loaded'...but is pretty ok early 70's pop-rock....

As a Velvet Underground album proper, Squeeze sucks and has no right being billed as such. However, viewed properly as a Doug Yule solo album it is a rather pleasant, if slight, listen. It picks up where Loaded left off with it's listener friendly pop sheen, although it totally lacks the depth Lou brought to his songwriting. Best to get a CDR of this if you are curious as the vinyl itself has become fairly expensive these days.

allmusic.com has an even-handed review.
It also covers the Doug Youle box set with the same balanced approach.

I downloaded it. I've even listened to it... ONCE.
