I forgot about that, too... Hey, if you're willing, bring on NYC! :)

Does this stilll stand Mr iaredatsun? Wicked if so...

Screen Test could do with an upgrade. The attempts on some recent sets ('Caught....' ?) to "improve" the sound on the 'Hedy' and 'Four Stars' footage have that godawful 'washy' sound that comes with de-clicking software. Plus it was slowed down for some reason. Hmm.

After Groovy's post about having all the vinyl transfers anyone could shake a stick at, I thought all bets were off. I'm glad this is not the case as I have now downloaded mg196's transfer of And So On for which many many thanks!

So, yes ? I will stick to my promise. I have just finished transferring Raw Power LP so I may as well get straight on with NYC. I hope people think the transfer and the vinyl quality itself is worth it and I will remove any major crackles but that's it. Its going be a 16bit 44.1kHz transfer. I will ask advice on posting it later. Should get the transfer done this w/e.

NYC torrent

Post by iaredatsun »

I've done the transfer.

I have to say this now:
1. The quality of this bootleg is not fantastic - the mastering levels are inconsistent. The version of 'She's My Best Friend' is distorted on the disk.
2. I have transferred it at the best overall volume I could without going into the red. It may benefit from normalising but I'll leave that up to you.
3. I have not included the cover as I don't have access to an A3 scanner and only have a 28mm lens camera which will distort it badly. Sorry.

I have uploaded a torrent to this address:

http://zombtracker.the-zomb.com/details.php?id=12385

Hope it all works as it's the first time I have done a torrent.

And how long is it polite to keep the torrent running on my computer???

Thanx for your will. But I think you don't seed. If you try to seach this torrent on zomb without your named link, it isn't here. I want to say, Zomb doesn't have a torrent named Velvet Underground - NYC.

But if you click the link then surely you can get to the torrent file? I'm not that bothered if you can't search for it as I've posted the link here and it is after alll essentially for users of this forum. But if you explain how to fix it I will.

I'm only a newbie here so I hope I'm not speaking out of turn, but all your torrent needs are seeders. There are currently 10 leechers and no seeders, so you need to have it running on your computer for a while to get things started.

iaredatsun:
You have to download your own *.torrent file from ZOMB and use that one for seeding.
The *.torrent file you made on your PC and uploaded cannot be used to seed.

Hope this will help.
