These poses are both shot on the north bank (Cambridge side) of the Charles River. (Notice the couple taking in the rays in the background of the latter frame!)

I don't recognize the locale of the other shots in the series, but my guess is somewhere on the campus of Harvard University, which is very nearby. The group all look very relaxed, and even -- by the standards of young adults in the late 1960s -- kinda wholesome!

Fantastic pictures (whithout water-mark),looking forward more pix in the future cause "The Scene Club" was a main club at the time.
Film (?):in January 5, 1967 issue of Hitweek (Netherlands):"The psychedelic Velvet Underground & Nico will perform during the Canadian World Exhibition in Montreal. Afterward they will go to Europe, but not before Andy Warhol has made a film of their live performance in the New York "Scene Club".

I never got the idea Lou was much of a dresser when left to his own devices. Also, financial factors may have played a part.

John Cale's wife Betsy Johnson made clothes for all of them when John was in the band. Maybe Lou threw his away when he fired John?

It's always been funny to me how cool they dressed from '65-'68 and then once away from Warhol, how badly they dressed (at least by today's standards). Maybe their creepy shitty manager was pressuring them to look like hippies.

aha! just noticed - looks like he's messing with a Vox Tone Bender fuzz pedal too! I thought he used the Distortion Booster - maybe that was built into the gtr with the Repeat Percussion thing...

Rare Nico's modeling pictures in french magazine circa.1966.

Wow,I'd like to think on this lovely Nico's photo set as a tribute of "Chelsea Girls" movie, the session shows a superstar in her hotel room.Even the mini tv set on the bed gives a kinda POP flavour to the whole thing.
