I guess these were the ones donated to Yale by Hetty MacLise. Includes 1965 so a faint possibility.... The archive is available for research but restricted. Two feet of tapes over the width of two boxes. Could be twenty reels?
The Angus MacLise Sound Recordings document selected musical work of Angus MacLise. The sound recordings are 5 and 7.5 inch reel-to-reel audio tapes that consist of experimental music composed and performed by MacLise in solo performances and in collaboration with other musicians and artists. The recordings span the years 1965 to 1978.

No VU here, but Candy Darling near the end. Patti Smith, Mappelthorpe, Harry Smith and others in their rooms. German documentary. Lovely colour footage and some amazing characters.
