If someone wouldn't mind uploading these with this site

http://s2.quicksharing.com/

I would be very grateful. I have never been able to use Rapidshare (without paying that is, and I don't see the point of paying for the rare occasion I might use it). Thank you.

Clearing up the 8 hours issue

Post by sal mercuri »

The 8 hours worth of tapes figure that is often quoted refers to the total recording time from End of Cole and The Matrix.
The Matrix tapes are made up of eight 30 minute 1/2 inch 4 track tapes.
There are 43 songs on these tapes but only 22 unique titles. There are three "Waiting", two "What Goes On", two "Sweet Janes", etc.
The performances all come from several sets played on 11/26/69 and 11/27/69.
I will post a few more shortly.
Hope you enjoy them.

Remarkable. Makes me wonder what they were thinking when they chose the Matrix material to use for "1969."

By the way, I find these far less frustrating to listen to than the butchered version of the 1st album acetate - at least the performances don't fade in and out, and last a reasonable amount of time before fading.

Thank you again!

You DO know that the acetate sampler is now available in full right?

...I predict the same for these Matrix samplers

Wow. It feels like Xmas morning. I'm getting a bigger kick out of the Matrix stuff than I did the Warhol stuff. I can't wait to hear Sister Ray from the sampler.

pleaseure and frustration... pleasure and frustration...
