I've just seen, at the Hot Wacks website, that a new boot cd has been released....acording to them:
"From Nothing Songs Limited comes THE VELVET UNDERGROUND "At The Factory, Warhol Tapes", a single CD + Bonus CDR with Rehearsals and Live 1966"
Has anyone listened to it? Any more information?

Nothing Songs are the people behind the Ultimate Mono and Acetates set. Anyone know if these are their only releases so far? I like the thought of a Velvets exclusive label, they seem to be putting out the good stuff so far, but I hope future releases don't massacre the indexing as on Ultimate Mono.

Interesting. I found a site selling it which gave a description in Japanese. After using an online translator, it seems they claim the bonus disc is the Dolph acetate from the other source. I'm guessing it's that edited version the guy with the acetate was sending around. The main disc is the ATP Museum CD, so the question there is if it's sourced from Rosie's MP4s or from a lossless source.

The notes by Dr Rawk & Michelle Yow (in part) go like this:-
"And of course the suitable VU kink in the tale (refering to Peel Slowly.......) is Cale thought he was turning in another tape for the box set and not the early demos! So Black Jack neds to find whatever tape(s) he has downstairs, and Lou needs to let loose the REAL Loaded/5th VU album with Doug and Cale on board... Yeah, that'll happen soon! When the Sterling exhibition went down in 1996, Mrs Yow went right there and was thrilled to see the show, hear the tapes, and went right up to talk to the curator. 'Oh yes' he said, the band is very excited. They are talking about releasing this now"
There is no mention of where they got this recording from - although it sounds same as my Rosie Lee stuf!! Track 7 is full version, although sound level changes dramatically after about 40 seconds into it and becomes clearer. Its on the same label as "Ultimate....." with similar name checks. Overall nicely packaged. It did not come with a bonus disc.
