VU demos found at flea market circa 2004

I'm new here, I hope this isn't the oldest dumbest question.

What happened with the VU demos I read about being found at a junk store a year or two ago?

are they in rich private hands?

John Cale is playing here in Austin this week, I'll be seeing him (on stage).

check the thread called ultimate mono and acetates - you'll find links there to a gmail account with a different copy of the acetate - quite crackly but v. interesting.
