Thanks very much rnranimal - that sounds pretty complete to me if you consider that the music has been cut out - it probably would come to a length of a side of an album.

I think it would be too much for one side - we have about 16 minutes of interview now, add "White Light White Heat," "Lady Godiva," "Mirror" and part of "The Gift" (not to mention three or four songs from other artists) and we're well over the 30 minutes maximum for one side of an LP.

Olivier's site, by the way, says "The Music Factory" was a 2 LP set. Could the interviews be on disc one, with the promo spots Sal mentions taking up the second LP?

Yes, we have that.
Here's my breakdown:

1. Introducing John and Lou
2. History of the Velvet Underground
3. John's instruments
4. Charts and pickles
5. Wilson intro (pigeon story)
6. About "The Gift"
7. Future of the Velvet Underground
8. More in the Dilruba
9. "Chelsea Girls" ad
10. Changing the weather with sound
11. Wilson wraps things up

The part you're remembering comes before the discussion of "The Gift".
