Thanks for that, interesting, I will order the CD, that John strapped on his flying V for this album is surely a good sign 8)

No, I finally picked up the CD yesterday, and I thinks its excellent. Its very much in the style of the classic 70's records Fear/Slow Dazzle/Helen of Troy, but with obviously up to date production.

Having listened to the new John Cale record a few times, I can only say if you love the Velvets you should hear this record. I would go so far as to say its perhaps the best record by an ex-member since the Blue Mask. Im stunned."Sold Motel" and "Woman" are Cales best songs since Honi Soit days.Iknow im ranting but it really is fantastic.
