This is Rosie Lee. I am knowing much about technology of sound. There are many drag & drop programs which enable you to convert to wav. MP4's are better than .wav and very good. Not as good as .aiff. One program is OOvolab I think. Many for free on line and shareware.

You do not know me. I do know that prog rock was the worst music ever and Emerson Lake Palmer & Air Supply or whatever name they are really play bad.

Code: Select all

Yahoo help:
Each group has 20 megabytes server space allocated for Files(...)Note, however, that each individual file you upload has a 5 megabyte limit per upload.
as you can see it is not possible to put these files to jimjim files section. i think forum users should help laters getting these tracks.

I've converted the files to wav using dBpoweramp Music Converter, available here:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm
There's a codec for mp4:

Help!

Post by Kill Mick »

Hi - please be kind to the newbie!

I only discovered this forum a couple of days ago and it's blown me away, especially this thread! Can some kind soul please help me out - is there any way of getting hold of the tracks already posted? I've missed all but 8 & 9!

I've downloaded 'Heroin' but can't listen to it! Aaaaarggh! Hopefully the Music Converter posted above will do the trick.

Rosie-Lee, you're a star...

are these simply "cleaned up" versions of the songs from the crappy boot CD or the real thing?

Lurid, don't know the source, but this sounds very good. If somebody cleaned up the crappy boot, he/she must have been ingesting too much pcp, because it sounds great now. Remember, we don't know Rosie Lee, but she knows a lot about sound technology. If she did a "cleaning", she must be a genious. Have you compared these songs to the ones on the boot? The sound now is awesome! If only we could find the answer and get track 9...

Not to mention that the "crappy" boot did not have tracks 1-3 (unless there's another version circulating)

Ferges & Rosie

I'd be glad to let you use file space on jimjims to upload some of the shorter material on offer.

Its the least i can do for all the effort made so far in getting these out. Besides, its about time our membership broke the 300 barrier. Its been mulling around 287-295 for 6 months now!

Get in touch if u want to do this!
