I just noticed the listing of band members on the front of the Max's Kansas City release: Lou Reed, Doug Yule, Billy Yule, Serling Morrison.
Why on earth was Sterl listed last???
Billy was there only because Mo was out with her baby. Sterl had been there for the last 4+ years - and he gets listed last.
Is there some story behind this that I don't know about or am I just making too much out of it?
Who Gets Top Billing?
MY THOUGHT ALWAYS WAS TO THINK THAT THEY USED REED & MORRISON NAMES (ORIGINAL MEMBERS) TO "WRAP" DOUG & BILLY YULE NAMES.
WE CAN CONSIDER DOUG AS THE 5TH VU MEMBER (MCLISE NEVER RECORDED WITH THE VELEVETS & NICO WAS THAT: THE VU & NICO).
BILLY YULE WAS JUST HIRED FOR THE GIG, AND I WOULD NEVER CONSIDER HIM A MEMBER OF THE BAND
