Hilltop Festival

Post by Jerome »

Was Sterling playing the rythim on 'What Goes On' at the Hilltop Festival bootlag (I think it was 'Wild Side of the Street' bootleg) ? I think it is one of my favorite What Goes On, the guitar sound like a staccato helicopter, listen to it on headphones. It is a great set, really underrated in the bootleg recordings. Thank you, I am drunk.

Don't know who played the rhythm but I do HIGHLY recommend listening to that WGO on headphones, in a dark room and pissed out of your head. I swear I was on that stage with them, watching Dougie doing his stuff! Unfortunately, at the moment, I am sober. I apologise.

Tis a great gig, Lou seems at sometimes mad and other points depressed heightens the mood and drives the songs (particuarly WGO) into some really special performances. Yeah that organ is amazing and mindblowing, Yule on that night was shit hot! I love the way all the instruments just blur into one on occcasions (perhaps thats just the er.. red wine!)
