>>Eddie And Ernie Outcast

for one joyous moment, I thought this was a typo and Eddie & Ernie was a song by Outkast.

Oh well...

To be fair, although the stuff is pretty old, I reckon it's quite a good list.

looks like the same stuff that was on that Lou Reed DJ radio station on Aol a year or two ago.
Although he had a lot of his/nico/John & VU songs in there too.
I remember hearing most if not all of these on that DJ station.

To be honest i'm disappointed with Lou's list, everyone likes the songs of their youth, but didnt he listen to any new records that came out in the last 25 years? There have been one or two good ones :D , I suppose it explains the poor quality of his own records in recent years, if he's not inspired by the music thats happening now, but chooses to remain in the past.

I think it's more likely the poor quality of his own records (your words, not mine) would be the RESULT of listening to the shit masquerading as music that's come out in the past 25 years.

Personally, I think the guy should revisit his roots (as well as learning how to sing again).

On Livejournal, someone remarked "So he stopped listening to music when he started to record an happened to let a few things in." Or something like that.

This list is such an accurate representation of Lou; some great things, but mostly melted wax of what was once a beautiful candle.

Hi,

You're so right, a few years ago, Lou was in a TV show in France, for the channel Canal Jimmy, each people invited there has to pick from a big list some of his favorite songs, and then a clip of each song was shown, for his show, Lou pick only his own songs :D

It was the 1st time that an artist refused to choose other songs, for Iggy Pop, I remember, he choose 96 Tears by ? and the Mysterians, James Brown, and some others...
