Opinions on Final V.U. box set

Post by tarbaby2 »

Been thinking about getting the Final V.U. box set I've seen floating around. But, I was wondering what other people thought about it. I haven't really heard any post-Lou V.U. and was wondering whether it was worth the price or not.

Let me know what you all think about the post-Lou stuff.

Thanks!

first two discs are really good, last two are spotty at best but it's interesting to hear some of the new songs. certainly better overall than 'squeeze' at least....

I'd say pick it up, like the last poster said - the first two discs are pretty good (IMO).
Not really the VU, but one of the best VU cover bands you'll hear :-)

If I remember right, a bunch of stuff from this lineup is downloadable (free!) on the VPRO site (I'm sure someone here can give you the link). That way you can listen to some of it and decide if you need the set.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the "VPRO" site is.
