It's a pretty good one.
In a class I had today we watched a video I think was called "What You Don't Know About American Imperialism" and the opening credits said it had music by Lou, but I didn't hear anything familiar.

All the interviews he's done recently have been pretty much like this... Did you all read the one in MOJO maagzine? There was one in a Finnish newspaper and another one in a music mag too (to coincide with the concerts he did here)... both like this. "Aggression is part of a public image which Reed feels he has to maintain", might be the case. Though I remember interviews from the '90s where he wasn't aggressive like that at all, on the contrary. He's like that in many of the clips in the Rock And Roll Heart documentary as well. What's with all this now all of a sudden?! It's like he thinks he's only talking with the journalist and forgets that through them he also speaks to his public - us.

Although I gotta say, I've loved these new interviews, very entertaining: We touch, too, on the recent Channel 4 poll of the 100 greatest albums of all time, which I tell him included Transformer and the first Velvets album. ?That?s all? I shoulda had the first 30.?

By the way, sars, that's a pretty cool quote in your signature but what album is he talking about?

Great interview, thanks for putting the link up Sars

I totally agree with you HF, Lou doesn't seem to connect the fact that he's not just having a private conversation with the journalist, but in fact this is going to be read by thousands of his fans

On the other hand, maybe he just realises that we'll get a kick out of reading him torturing the poor guys

Ya know, for someone who claims to be a disciple of Tae Bo and has made healthy living an integral part of his life, he is filled with a lot of senseless anger. From http://www.chentaichi.com:

Taichi training is begin and ended with faith.  The faith of a world that everyone be able to stand by themselves.  Everyone appreciate the cooperation from others as well as from themselves.  It is not to beat someone up.  Or fear to be beaten by someone.  It is a matter of purify ourselves, with better skill, with much sensibility to the surrounding as well as within.

Hey Lou, practice what you preach. If Chen Tai Chi is so important to you, you shouldn't pick and choose what parts fit YOUR world. You should make your world fit Chen Tai Chi. Hypocrite.

I think maybe Doctor Bob answered mg196's point... it could be image related. He "has" to be the New York tough guy for us.

Sadly there's apparently a fine line between "New York tough guy" and "silly old cunt"...
