The interviewer stated that the whole "interview" was more like a monologue on the part of Morrissey. I have always had the impression that Morrissey HATED Warhol. He never came out and said he hated him (to my knowledge, anyways), but I feel that his hate stems from the inability to escape the shadow cast by Warhol.

Well, that's not really surprising considering that (a) Morrissey directed all those movies whereas Andy merely produced them and yet (b) everybody always calls them WARHOL movies.mg196 wrote:I have always had the impression that Morrissey HATED Warhol.
That's bound to grate, just as it would with Lou and John when the banana LP were consistently called a Warhol product too. I for one am glad that, despite the heavy Warhol association, in the public eye the band itself is credited for the LP, not Warhol (even though in the Sixties everybody thought of it as yet another Warhol digression).
Nevertheless, considering all Morrissey's negative comments on just about everyone in the Factory scene, yes, he is something of an arsehole (or a very big sourpuss at least). You wonder why he stuck around...
