The second and last Semi-Final is between

Sister Ray (off White Light/White Heat / Final V.U. / The Quine Tapes)

and

I Heard Her Call My Name (off White Light/White Heat / Live MCMXCIII)

granted, i'm only speaking for myself here... but can we just invoke the "mercy" rule and go ahead and move sister ray on to the next round?

Sister Ray vs Heroin...mmm...basically, the lack of big name clashes has helped the favourites make it through to the final....still what a battle royale it will be! Any chance of a replay should there be a draw?

I seem to remember New Age vs. White Light/White Heat and I'm Waiting for the Man vs. Rock and Roll, which were big matches to me, certainly that early in the Contest (First Round). Still, the voters thought differently as those matches were in both cases decisive victories.

Same with All Tomorrow's Parties vs. I'm Waiting for the Man in the Third Round, thought that was a big match but again it was an easy win for Man (U?).

Yet in the Quarter-Finals, Heroin was given a run for its money by I'm Waiting for the Man (once again), a match that turned on only 3 to 4 votes.

I'm always willing but I don't know if there's any use. I mean, surely all the people who voted x would still vote x and not suddenly switch camps? Or are you betting on previously undecided members joining in after all?

There won't be a need for a replay. When push comes to shove in this mighty Smack Song Smackdown, a true winner will emerge from the dustcloud.

Victory, thy name is Ray.
