I'm guessing Dave Faison, too.

That would be great if someone interviewed them.

Sterling Morrison, Andy Warhol, Dave Faison, Maureen Tucker, Gerard Malanga and John Cale

Yeah,That would be great indeed, but everyone gotta be grateful for something else....

Doug Snyder: "This time one of us - Dick Felton - took a tape recorder. Their equipment manager Dave Faison helped us with an extension cord for our mono recorder...

Have either of these guys (Faison and Onsager, I mean) ever been debriefed on their VU memories? They seem like they'd be important voices to be added to the body of information, if they haven't been done already.
Faison had a beard (pic in Uptight) I'm not sure that's him in the studio pic...

I don't think Faison + Onsager have been interviewed. I dug up a postal address for a H Onsager somewhere in New Jersey from the internet a few yrs ago - wrote a letter but didn't hear back, could have been a different guy but it was worth trying... Couldn't find any trace of Faison at the time, but that's also a relatively unusual name, so he might be traceable.

I wrote to Ron Campisi too, to see if he had any more pics from the Boston Tea Party or memories of seeing them. He didn't reply either, even after I mentioned I liked the Rockin' Ramrods.

While poking around on the topic of rediscovery of VU road managers a bit further I see that it'd been visited in this very space, about 3-1/2 years ago. See http://www.velvetforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=3305 if interested.

Someone should also interview Susan Pile, who was the ultimate VU groupie, and used to be babysit for Nico. Think she saw the EPI Shows, too. Ditto for Martha Morrison, who was part of that scene from '65 on.

I came across this article regards Susan and the remodeled Chicago EPI show and the Fashion show at the Playboy Club but no mention the equipment/road manager Dave or Hans Onsager though I bet for Faison.

"It wasn't quite the full-strength version of the Exploding Plastic Inevitable," says Pile. "Nico had gotten bored or didn't want to come to Chicago or something, and Lou Reed was down with hepatitis, so the Velvets' lineup consisted of Mo Tucker on bass, Angus MacLise on drums, Sterling Morrison on lead guitar, and John Cale playing viola and organ.
