Yule area written during Cale

Post by stooge »

all right... No fantastic news here. But I've just read again the Mojo 1999 (with Blondie on the cover) with large extracts of Cale autobiographie in wich he mentions "Here come the waves"as being one of the Velvet tracks they used to do in '68. We all know he also mentions "walk and talk" in the '67 Gymnasium tape and the "Ride into the sun" also gets credit to him as well as "Men of good fortune"...So here it is. I've nothing else to add. This band will always make me feel crazy. and that's it since 1989... Very intersting indeed, don't you think?

Nearly all of Another View is Reed/Cale/Morrison/Tucker, too (although in the sleeve notes the songs are coyly credited to "The Velvet Underground", not specifying which version). A search in the BMI database reveals that of the co-credit songs, only Ferryboat Bill is Reed/Morrison/Yule/Tucker, the other ones credit Cale -- Good Time and Rock & Roll are of course by Reed)

They had a lot in their inventory even early on I guess. Apparently three albums worth.
