Going through old image files, came across these pics. Were they posted before?

Damn! Any idea who shot these?

Also, what song do you suppose he's singing? My guess is the "saw myself in a dream" part of "Beginning To See The Light".

Leee Black Childers?

Looks like he has come to the part in Head Held High where he sings, "do the dog" then instrumental part whomp whomp whomp blamm.

OK, time for some analysis...

Did Lou use that guitar (is it his Epiphone Casino?) during the Summer Max's run in 1970?

I was thinking about this - according to the Lou Reed Guitar Archive site (that has also disappeared since last yr) Lou used a Riviera (similar to a Casino) at this time, so it could be a Max's pic, but it could be an early solo pic too - scroll down this page

I don't think its Leees- most of his work was B&W and it doesn't look like his style. I asked him about his photographs of the VU and he said he did have lots of photos of them but the negatives are now sadly all lost. He occasionally sells other prints on eBay and his auction descriptions are well worth reading they're hilarious!

As for a gut feeling I don't think these are VU pics - I would say very early solo - could still be Maxs photos though Lou was still going there in the early 70s.
