Lou Reed - 1976-11-30 San Francisco - (Aud)

Lou Reed
Berkeley Community Center, San Francisco
November 30, 1976
Aud

CD 1:
01 - Waiting for the Man
02 - Sheltered Life
03 - You Wear it so well
04 - Claim to Fame
05 - Vicious Circle
06 - Walk on the Wild Side
07 - Coney Island Baby
08 - Rock and Roll Heart
09 - Charley's Girl
10 - Kill Your Sons
11 - Satellite of Love

CD 2:
01 - Berlin
02 - Temporary Thing
03 - Ladies Pay
04 - Sad About it*
05 - Rock'n'Roll
06 - Heroin

* Sung by Nelson Slater. A song from his LP 'Wild Angel' in 1976 which Lou produced.

xx - Sister Ray
xx - She's My Best Friend
xx - Kicks
.
xx - Deleted. Those tracks are not from this show, likely. loureed.es doesn't list them in the setlist. And a previous uploader also said that he thought
they were from a different show. Quality surely is different and worse. And 'Sister Ray' is from a different recording than the other 2 tracks.
Waveforms and spectrals are not the same. Looks like no info is available about the origins of these tracks. So, I won't post them. It's not allowed.
And I don't like bad quality bonus tracks, anyway. The better recording cuts off at 4 K already.

Taken from bootblogger. No lineage, sorry. TLH fixed SBEs.

The quality of the Berkeley recording is rather limited, too. But sounds better than it looks. Don't think I would give a B+ like it was done on loureed.es,
though.

LOU REED, vocals and guitar
MICHAEL FONFARA, keyboards
BRUCE YAW, bass
MARTY FOGEL, sax
MICHAEL SUCHORSKY, drums

I originally wanted to go to this show, but I was not able. I read a review of it and spoke with someone who went. Both the 'someone' and
reviewer said that Lou opened with and instrumental jam that seemed like a jazzy version of MMM. The instrumental supposedly lasted
nearly 45minutes and caused a third of those in attendance to walk out. Anyway the person I got this show from said that his friend
(who recorded it) arrived late and missed the instrumental part, which is the part I am mostly interested in. (Along with anything else
Lou does to cause audiences to want to walk out.) I later got a copy of 2 cdrs from which this download appears to originate.
The last 3 tracks are identical to an audience recording from the same tour of Lou's show in Boston.

In addendum I love the review of WLWH on the back cover of the Inevitable Catalogue. Especially considering that WLWH was my
first moment of love for the VU. I would have stood by it then as I do now in consideration of such a review. Same goes for Lulu.

Hello
Is there a way to decode MP3/RAR files without getting a 2" cut between the live tracks ?
Thank you

Unfortunately you have to edit the gaps with an audio editor.
