Loaded cassette mystery

Post by jimjim »

It's a slow day at work here so I'll pose a question that's long puzzled me.

Sometime in the 80s when Atlantic issued Loaded on cassette for the first time they took an somwhat unusual step of re-naming the album..well, sort of - 'Art Gallery - Loaded'. Does anyone know why Atlantic did this? And why just the cassette version?

I have seen that cassette as well. I just assumed it was a "special series", and that other titles would have been issued like that too. But dont think I've ever seen any other "Art Gallery" covers.....
(But I dont think that was the first issue of Loaded on cassette?)
