John Galliano (designer who used to work for Christian Dior, for those of you apatheic to haute couture) designed his runway to resemble Andy Warhol's silver Factory and about half of the clothes were roughly inspired by Edie Sedgwick. (The other half were Renaissance painting lookalikes, but who's asking?) Pretty neat. Just thought I'd share.
Me personally, I like Warhol just on his own. (Got into him after I started listening to the Velvets.) I've studied him in several different classes, and I get more facinated. For kind of an unassuming guy, he's had a lot more effect on society overall than any other artist can even come close to. Read his book "Popism." Really really good book, very kind of poignent look on pop culture's place in the United States.
