The Murder Mystery has always been one of my favourite songs even if Lou says it was a failure.

The Murder Mystery is possibly my favourite Velvet Underground song, its has such a fantastic noisy but tight sound to it.
Coming soon to this location: charming ruins

Why did Lou say it was a failure? I'm sure it has mathematical flaws but the production seems pretty impressive considering the budget and laid-back studio atmosphere.

Oh, and I'm assuming it was based on Burroughs' tape-splicing experiments, correct?
