the one with the 10 second or so coda on the vinyl VU. i wanted to burn a copy of the 'great lost album' with that nifty little recording on it. i've searched all over the net and p2p programs, and couldnt find a direct connect hub for VU, so i figured one of you guys would have it.

Well, I posted this about 9 months ago, I figure I'll top it now.

I uploaded a wav-file of it to: http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/jimjims/
It's not that big (790 kBs). It is only 4 secs long.

And just to put the icing on the cake... using the miracle of CoolEdit, I've removed the few vinyl crackles from the file that Per provided, and uploaded the 'clean' version. Same place:

I was going to try and do a bit of hiss reduction and normalisation to bring the sound into line with the main track from Peel Slowly And See, but they actually seem to dovetail nicely into each other as it is so I've left it alone!

Now all you guys gotta do is workout how long the pause between the guitar lick and the actual beginning of the song is on the vinyl VU to get it to sound right! ;)

I'm guessing that Per edited the track so that it ends immediately before the band kicks in, so the two parts edited directly together with no gap should be right... Per?

Sorry I didn't edit it that smart. I removed 2.234 sec of vinyl silence

do You want a new file with the silence included? it also has some sound overhearing from the start of the track
