Don't get me wrong, I love Moe, have met her and her kids and she is one of the most down to earth people I have ever met; love her VU and solo work; but I think her politics suck. IMHO

Ouch! I posted that on You tube months ago and it just went viral? This guy contacted me about the video and I couldn't tell him anything except what is in the clip. You tube asked me if I wanted to join some kind of advertising plan where I could get $ from ads on my video. I didn't because I only had a few views at the time. Now maybe I should?

For you Europeans who don't know, the expression "Say it ain't so, Joe" has special significance over here.

In 1919, the Chicago White Sox baseball team was caught in a gambling scandal. The players were accused of taking money to throw games during the 1919 World Series. One of the accused was named "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, and was one of the most beloved players at the time, not only because of his baseball skills, but because he was just a dumb country boy. He was an idol to every boy who loved baseball. On his way out of the courthouse one day, a young boy pleaded to him, "Say it ain't so, Joe!"

As you can see, that expression of betrayal and disbelief is quite appropriate in the case of "Say it ain't so, Moe!"

While I do not agree with the Teabagger's philosophies, I applaud Moe for having the guts to publicly standing up for what she believes in.

True that, Bob. I just thought this would be of interest to Velvets fans, who over the years I have found to be left leaning, for the most part. I absolutely applaud Moe's standing up for her beliefs and will defend her right till the day I die. But, I couldn't disagree with her more, and think she is an amazing person, who is being misled. Most teabaggers come off as ignorant racist haters; not how I would describe Moe by a long shot.

Hehe..well there, he has his baseball cleats on. The guy next to him, Ty Cobb, used to sharpen the metal spikes (cleats) on the bottom of his shoes so he could slash players on the opposing team. Wikipedia has the explanation where Shoeless got his nickname:

"According to Jackson, he got his nickname during a mill game (non-professional league) played in South Carolina. Jackson suffered from blisters on his foot from a new pair of cleats, and they hurt so much that he had to take his shoes off before an at bat. As play continued, a heckling fan noticed Jackson running to third base in his socks, and shouted "You shoeless son of a gun, you!", and the resulting nickname "Shoeless Joe" stuck with him throughout the remainder of his life."
