LOU REED
THE MAIN POINT, BRYN MAWR, PA, USA
DECEMBER 31, 1972

AUD>1ST GEN CASSETTE>STAND ALONE BURNER>WAV>FLAC

As far as I know this show is not in wide circulation. It is on the R&R Animal gigography so it is out there. I got it from the taper (someone who has made significant contributions to several Lou CDs, but wouldn't want to be name-checked) so this has known lineage. A really good show, not hi-fi by any means, but there is some pleasure to be gained from listening to it. I turned the bass down and the volume up and it sounded OK. Definitely closer to American Poet (ex) than Alice Tully Hall (clam-city) in terms of performance. I would call this collectors-only, but not completest-only. In other words if you haven't listened to Lou for years don't start with this! But if you get a lot of the Lou torrents you'll probably want this one too.
