Apparently, I have had this show for around 10 years, but it was tacked onto the end of another show (a common practice back in the days of trading CDRs thru the mail). A fresh discovery!
Lou is in fine form here, in the middle of his Spring '79 tour of North America. The band is great as always, but it seems like everyone was holding back a little...perhaps because they were keeping some fuel in reserve for their upcoming week-long stint at The Bottom Line. Moose has a little bass solo in the middle of Sweet Jane. I never heard that anywhere before...
As for the interview, it obviously occurred soon after the last date of the North American tour, but before the Fall Euro leg. "I thought that the concert was fabulous and that you're the sexiest thing in the world!" It's one of those classic 70s Lou interviews, with Lou answering the phones, in good humor, and hanging up on people left and right. Gotta love it.

You're most welcome! This show is completely new to me. The only reason I now know I own it, is that when I copied a different bootleg for someone, they wrote back asking me about a few unlisted tracks that sounded like they came from a different source than the other show. Whadya know!schnittstelle wrote:Thank you very much!

It's always great when new shows are discovered. Who knows what's still undiscovered in some bootleg collections...
